Adapting
The plan adapts
What happens when life gets in the way? The same week, calculated again on Wednesday.
Tuesday's session did not happen.
| Planned | Calculated again | |
|---|---|---|
| Mon | Rest day | |
| Tue | Race pace on the climb 1:45 | |
| Wed | Tempo 1:30 | |
| Thu | VO2max in waves 1:45 | |
| Fri | Rest day | |
| Sat | Fueling ride 5:15 | |
| Sun | Endurance with cadence drills 1:30 |
And the app tells you why:
- Race pace on the climb moved from Tue, Jul 20 to Wed, Jul 21
- Thu, Jul 22: Endurance with cadence drills instead of VO2max in waves
- Sun, Jul 25: Sweetspot seated and standing instead of Endurance with cadence drillsThe day after the long ride, as the week has no other room
Analysis
Every ride in detail.
After every ride, Racebound shows the course coloured by power zone and every climb with time, watts, W/kg and VAM. It shows where the form is right and where there is more to gain.

10 sections, none more than one minute off.
Michael, the founder of Racebound, rode the Ötztaler 2025 with a power meter. Recalculated with his recorded power.
Dreiländergiro 2026, same method: each of the eight sections within one minute (with the recorded power plus 3 %, the power meter probably read low there).
Drafting and descents are tuned on these rides. The recalculation checks the physics of the course, not the prediction of your power.
- 263 W
- 9:34h
- 250 W
- 9:57h
- 238 W
- 10:20h
Your finish time depends above all on your power on race day. On the Ötztaler Radmarathon, 263 and 238 watts are 46 minutes apart. That is what Racebound trains for.
Beta testers recalculate their 2027 races. Their results will appear here, even where the model is off.
